Jonathan Adler 25 1/4" High Right Giraffe Wall Sconce

  - Item BLH0688

Celebrity designer Jonathan Adler's style is modern, but his look is anything but cold. His designs are fun, funky, colorful and draw heavily on chic, mid-century fashion. Adler has created a charming collection of wall sconces, designed for Robert Abbey, that lets you bring home some of his "quirky modernist" style. The Giraffe wall sconce is constructed of white glazed ceramic. The design is topped with a white linen rolled edge shade. Illuminate hallways, bedrooms, baths and more with this fabulous look.

Be Safe: Add Lighting to Your Bathroom

Aging eyes need more light, so check your lighting levels in the bathroom. They might be too low, particularly if the room is used by anyone who is 55 or older. When adding light to your bathroom, make sure you have adequately lit all parts of the room. One overhead light won't do it; it’s best to layer lighting in the bathroom. People in the bathroom should be able to see the mirror, the floor and the faucets. If light is shining directly into the eyes, it can be blinding instead of illuminating. To get rid of the glare that this could cause, you can add side lights and even an accent table lamp. Also, make sure there is adequate lighting in the shower and bathtub area to prevent falls. Another essential is a night light. Keep night lights lit in adjoining rooms and in the bathroom to show the way in the middle of the night. They give you just the right amount of light so that you can safely walk into the bathroom without disturbing others.
